Please note we are still open during the road works on the Nettlebed Henley Road past The Tree Barn

If you are approaching from Henley, Nettlebed, Cookley Green area on the B481. Proceed down Howe Hill B480. When arriving in Watlington (please note Watlington operates a 20 MPH speed limit) take the right hand turn into Couching Street. Take the next right past the Coop on to Hill Road. Proceed all the way to the top of Hill Road. Turn right on to Nettlebed Henley Road where you will see a road closed sign but access is permitted to the pub. A MESSAGE FROM OUR RESIDENT HOUND!

Hello Friends,

Welcome to The Fox and Hounds.

I want to let you know we are a dog friendly pub! I am always ready and waiting to meet and greet you and your well behaved hound/s.

All hounds are allowed to accompany their owners anywhere in the pub even in the restaurant, (lucky them my Dad won’t let me go in the restaurant! ). All I ask is to please respect other patrons.

Also, please note I do roam free, well it is my pub! So please do not get upset if I come to say ‘Hello’ to you and your dog, especially if your dog is a pretty female! If she is at the special time, please can we ask you don’t bring her into the pub as there are many male dogs who frequent the pub and they are not all on leads and we would hate for any unexpected puppies later!

If your hound has a mishap, which happens occasionally, please would you be so kind as to you clear it up for them and pop it in the bin provided outside. Thank you.

Finally, please ask one of my friendly staff for a doggie treat for your hound. They are usually available, that is providing I haven’t eaten them all!
